Peter Knight http://www.peterknightmusic.com/ Australian trumpeter/composer/sound artist, Peter Knight, is a multidisciplinary musician who has gained wide acclaim for his eclectic approach, which integrates jazz, world music, and experimental traditions. Perpetually curious, Peter’s work defies categorisation; indeed, he works in the spaces between categories, between genres and between cultures. He features as a performer in many different settings and composes for a range of ensembles as well as for theatre. He also creates sound installations. Peter has won numerous awards for his work including two Australian Bell Jazz Awards and has toured widely performing at many significant international festivals and venues. Peter was also recently appointed Artistic Director of the Australian Art Orchestra.
